After the borders between the countries of the three countries corner opend up
, more and more city partnerships in the Saar-Lor-Lux region have developed. Their
aims are of both political and economical nature. Tourism is more and more important.
Many cities cooperate and advertise together for their region.
And they do so successfully, like e.g. the partner cities of Weisskirchen and Bourbonne-les-Bains, which
present themselves together as health resorts.
Variety is always very good, and that’s also true for Tourism.
The Saar-Lor-Lux drive in Losheim took place for the first time last year and fans of historic automobiles from all over
Europe met. Of course there are also sportive aspects,
but the slogan of the event was "Taking part is everything!" , fun
is important.
Like last year, the drive Saar-Lor-Lux-Classique in May this year was a big succcess. More than 60 participants
and many spectators took part in that event. |

The fact that
sports clubs from different countries meet for a contest is nothing new.
But in the Saar-Lor-Lux region, the cooperation of the sports clubs is especially close.
The riflemen’s association Beckingen is a good example: It organizes
many events in which our neighbours from France and Luxembourg participate. |
